I ve taken friends and fellow students to them with bloody faces, injuries and cuts and bruises, after being assaulted in the street and they just turn them away, every single time.

The woman who works in the front is terribly mean. Upon entering, I was already being practically yelled at. I hadn't even said hello nor told her what I was there for. She spoke to me like I was either dumb, didn't know English, or was a child that needed to be disciplined. I was simply there for a routine fingerprint/background check that the UCLA Library requires student workers to get. And I had my IDs and paperwork all ready. She treated me like a criminal. Although the experience lasted less than 20 minutes, it truly was an awful experience.

I went there to denounce indecent exposure and soliciting that happened to me one hour and a half before. The lady officer laughed at me and told me that next time, I should've taken the money and do myself a favor.
She never asked for a description of the car or the guy, I specified that even though it did not happen on campus, I am a UCLA student and I thought it would be better to go since I don't want to see that kind of thing and it happened just next to a primary school so I was concerned that if the guy could do this to me he could do it to children too.
She told me there was no real crime (even though I'm pretty sure indicent exposure IS a crime) and they couldn't do anything since they already had a lot of complaints on campus too (??).
That means any guy can come to me, show my his junk and offer me money as if I'm a hooker, it's not a REAL CRIME.
So I'm asking, what's a real crime then ? Should I wait to get raped or kidnapped for it to be considered a REAL CRIME ?
I was really shocked by this police officer's attitude and behaviour and I would not recommend to anyone to go to this police station.
They are useless and they will basically mock you and laugh at you right in front of your face.

I was laughed at and humiliated by all the officers. I had an item stolen and went there just to check if they could help. I went to the front window and asked with no problems. A few minutes later they sent out an officer who sounded very fake but still comforting and advised me on what I could do. He went back through one of the doors and you could hear everyone laughing and talking about it like they were watching a comedy. He had said if the item, which I had a tracker on, was on campus he could help but it wasn't. I went to class and saw the item came back on campus so I rushed to the police office. They then said I need to file a report for them to do anything. An officer began taking down notes on the incident and another officer peeked out from the corner and was giggling. The officer jotting down notes looked back at him and they began giggling together. I was some kind of inside joke. The officer then began saying things to discourage me from reporting the incident, claiming one of his officers could get shot, it would take weeks for someone to get to the report, etc. I just wanted someone to go down the road with me and ask for my stolen item back like the previous officer said he could do if it was on campus. It's fine that they didn't want to, but my item was getting away and they were just trolling me. They even told me I couldn't legally retrieve it myself. This was a very high end, customized, expensive device containing my investment portfolios. Luckily I was able to retrieve it myself, but the whole incident was very discouraging and disrespectful. I wish they would have just been honest or straightforward from the beginning.

They arrested me for smoking a blunt in their "parking garage". Later the two officers involved in the case asked for a restraining order on me even though they pulled a gun on me for just smoking a blunt on their property. When I got out of jail and went to their police station to file a complaint they told me the officers involved who got a restraining order on me, no longer worked for UCLA police department. I asked for the officers name and all I got was Officer Silvero. These police are basically glorified security guards and that's it. They are worthless for anything but telling you that you can't smoke on their property and they will pull a gun on a former police cadet/current security guard for just smoking

The African American woman who does the fingerprinting was rude beyond comparison. She belittled me for not knowing my official payroll title and department, scolded me for answering another employee's offer for help ("You're already being helped. Why are you getting up?"), and talked down to me for writing small. You can this woman's rudeness documented in previous reviews. She's a disgrace to the UC name.

Hard thing give high rating for. But I need to be fair. I am disabled and have PTSD from past negative contact w law enforcement. These people approached me and treated me in a manner that allowed me to feel safe firstly. This allows me in my condition to communicate and not exasperated my personal issues. I'm greatful.
I had a warrent and rightly I was detained, I was aware I had it but was scared because I don't know what would happen because I had missed a hearing. It resulted in both sides of the law having concerns safely and constructively addressed. I could not ask for more from an interaction it is thier job to uphold the law, and I was in the wrong, being given an opportunity to appear again in court on a date and time I can manage greatly helps both my anxiety and helps me continue to get past trauma. Knowing people have to do thier job, but it dose not mean it has to harm you physically, let alone put you in a further compramized position as you are trying to work to better yourself proactively and try and become less of a burden on others.
They have my reapect for no other reason than I'd be criminal to not return the respect and consideration I recived as an individual.
Thank you

This review is for the enforcement of the no bird scooters on bruin walk. Note to all personal injury attorneys -- UCLA doesn't enforce the law. Where are the police who should be enforcing and ticketing? UCLA could raise enough money for free tuition for all students if they would ticket the people dangerously riding their motorized scooters on bruin walk. They have signs everywhere, but no enforcement. I was there for a women's basketball game at Pauley Pavilion and the careless way students ride is very dangerous.

The UCLA police are basically useless, there was an incident and arrived late, and were all like it was not their jurisdiction, and they called LAPD. In the meantime the criminals were getting away and didn't get caught. They took the word of one of the suspects, a black woman, like it was all true without asking for more information or her identification, so she also got away. Useless and looks like UCLA PD wants to avoid reporting crimes, so it doesn't look like the area is dangerous, which it is. UCLA students get a lot of theft. Also, I find hilarious that the black police officer said to one of the reviewers that Hispanics are the problem. Everyone knows, and if you are a foreign student you should know, that blacks commit most of the crime In the USA, after that it is browns, whites and finally yellows. Yellow people commit the least crime in this country. Why does UCLAPD keep that racist police officer, is it because she is a black woman? Shame on you!

They are totally not helpful. I just moved in my new office and locked myself outside on Saturday morning. Called them and they transferred my call to some kind of help disk. They told me that my name is not on the list so that they will not come to open the door for me. I explained to them that I had everything in the office my keys my wallet ...but still the answer is " we will not open the door for you!" . I was wondering why I am paying tax to have these people employed.

Whoever answers the phone here is HIGHLY disrespectful. She got "offended" (in her words) when I asked her why she had such a hostile tone with me. She told me I asked a "stupid question" when she wasn't clear about the live scan appointments. Didn't know cops with whistles could disrespect patrons this way.

I had my fingerprinting (hard copy) done here today. I called yesterday to set an appointment and was able to get a slot today. The fingerprinting process took around 10-15 mins. All of the staff were respectful and accommodating. The restroom is clean. There's a drinking fountain inside. There's free street parking along Westwood Plaza, just in front of the police station.
