I feel like I have hit the jackpot by discovering ISF. As someone with mental health issues I never found gyms to be fun or encouraging places to visit. My experience at ISF has been the complete opposite- it offers so many challenging, yet fun, classes; and their gym floor is extensive. The incredible staff are what really make this place special, however. I have found all ISF staff so friendly and welcoming- they are amazingly supportive and encouraging, and help you to push yourself, all while having a laugh. Moreover, my anxiety challenges have been met with empathy and support. Owners Carl and Jacqui, both absolute gems, have built a welcoming, supportive and fun gym community, something that is so rare with the swathe of gyms that are purely interested in selling memberships. Fantastic gym, amazing people!

Carl and the crew are world class coaches - great atmosphere and culture. Heaps of training sessions to suit people of all ages and skill level, only issue is between boxing, muay thai, brazilian jiu jitsu and wrestling there's not enough hours in the week to attend them all!

Leave your ego at the door and get down to hangar4!

My Partner and I can t recommend Industrial Strength and Fitness enough! It has made such a positive difference in our lives. The owners Carl and Jacqui are simply incredible and so great to be around, motivating us and making each visit positive and fun. All the trainers are engaged, friendly, helpful and really care about what they do and it shows with each class we attend. The facilities are state of the art and the exercise options are endless. The class we frequent most is Carl s kickboxing class, and his guidance and expertise are second to none. ISF is a really special place that inspires you to challenge and push yourself whilst having a good time.

Choosing and joining Hangar4 is by far the best decision I have made.....well, since I got married. I was 42 when I started, I was somewhat nervous about the whole thing but I was welcomed then put to work. You will get incredibly fit, you'll get addicted to your skill improvement, you'll meet a good crew of people, I feel, most importantly, you'll get an improved frame of mind. There are lots of classes to choose from, kids classes, Jujitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, even weight lifting classes. These all have different levels of ability so it's easy to fit into any class that suits you or your children, men and women, girls and boys, you'll definitely be glad of giving it a go. All equipment is there for beginners, no need to buy the gloves etc before you try it out. Ps there are no bonehead bullies here, it's an extremely respectful gym, this is guaranteed. As I said previously, joining was one of the best decisions I've made. 5 stars!

I trained Muay Thai under Alan Wong in Adelaide for several years. He told me to train with Carl upon moving to Melbourne. I am always learning and improving my skills. In addition the Jiu Jitsu classes run by Peter are great. I enjoy BJJ as much as I do Muay Thai. Great gym, people and atmosphere.

MMA for self-defence has always been something I've been interested in doing and have always felt was very important, being female and of a smaller stature. It was difficult to get started somewhere because it was intimidating to walk into a MMA gym which is predominately male. Hangar 4 was different. All the coaches and all the other members in the gym have been very welcoming, helpful and accommodating from the moment I arrived and there are other women similar to me who also train.

Been training with Carl and the crew for only a few month. Can't believe how quickly I have progressed. I was a little nervous when I first started but the fun and friendly atmosphere definitely made it a whole heap easier.

I have been working out over 15 years in well-known international gym franchises, so I'm particular in term of choosing my workout environment. When I moved to Reservoir I joined a gym, however I was not satisfied with the vibe and the equipment which made me to look for an alternative option. So I found Industrial Strength & Fitness as the highest star rate on google review , Then I decided to go and have a look, but I enrolled myself on spot because the facility was super great, also the staff were amazing. I thank everyone whom works and trains there, your smile make a big difference even though when don t know each other yet.
Cheers

My kids have been training at Hangar 4 for over 5 years. I love the comfortable and fun environment that the trainers create. My kids are learning confidence, fitness and self defence and love going every week.

I've been training here for about 8 years now. It's a very friendly environment that welcomes everyone. There's no egos and I've never felt intimidated. Head trainer Carl is very friendly and easy going. It definitely makes starting a martial art helpful as in the beginning it can be a bit daunting
