Mục tiêu chính của NVBDCP là kiểm soát và ngăn ngừa các bệnh do véc tơ truyền như sốt rét, sốt xuất huyết, chikungunya, giun chỉ bạch huyết, kala-azar và viêm não Nhật Bản.
