Wonderful buildings, comfortable parking and the most beautiful location

It was my Speaking for IELTS on 17/08/18. The reporting time is 9:30am but 10 will also be acceptable as there are people waiting for the registration before the exam. They take your snap and a fingerprint and they send you in groups of 4-5 at a time as the seating is limited outside the examination rooms. There are 4-5 examiners on the day and my examiner was an Englishman.

Next day was my Written exam. Time to report is 8 am but it s too early you ll be fine even if you reach half past eight, as there is a long queue to handover all the items you re carrying, they put them in zip bags and give you a token number which you have to return and take your stuff while leaving. The arrangement was pretty satisfactory. You get a lead pencil, an eraser and a wrap free small water bottle on your designated table and the examiner s instructions after every module were too boring! However, the thing that amazed me was the conduct of the invigilator, which was utterly professional AND the rooms were TOO COLD, one should wear full sleeves at the least. My overall experience was nice.

Popular for examination of foreign bodies such as British Council, Heriot Watt University etc.

I just had my ielts exam there we were provided with a water bottle, pencil and eraser. The staff there were really helpful .. just get with u an extra jacket because it's super cold

You need flexibility to deal with students .. You need an administration that understands and does not argue.

Very good but small University. This is also official IELTS test venue for British Council in Jeddah.

It is the worst University ever. I had an awful experience for the following reasons ... Bad website and a very bad educational system. Very materialistic meaning that you need to pay for every stage of the application for no clear reason. Adding classes is the hardest thing ever. The most frustrating thing is that they never reply on emails , therefore , you need to go the school to solve your problem.

SAUDI ELECTRONIC UNIVERSITY is much better since it is a governmental institution and their website is very clear and organized. Adding classes are very simple , organized , and clear. In addition to that , they give a brief summary about the course that you want to add and what are the prerequisites for that course.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAUDI ELECTRONIC UNIVERSITY and do not recommend ARAB OPEN UNIVERSITY at ALL.

There was noise of the construction next to the building.

IELTS exam location for 2016, well prepared for such events, but needs a slightly different arrangement to be more adaptive.

Good building, much better than the previous one. Still construction work is going-on on its upper floors, hopefully it'll be completed soon.

Arab open University is for those who are working and at the same time wants finish their undergraduation/bachelors.

Went for IELTS Exam. Good management from exam point of view, neat place.

I finished my IELTS exam today (9/9/2017)at this center. Well organized, dedicated staff and volunteers. Very impressive.
The process from start to finish of the test was systematic. The crowd of candidates was directed in a line through various checks, first, the handing over of belongs (bags, mobiles etc) which was tagged with numbers and a token was given to us. Then we where directed to ID+fingerprint check and collection of hall tickets, so we didn't have to get anything except the registered ID. After this we had a security scan and where directed to respective exam halls. At the entrance of hall there was ID checking ones more.
Exam hall and furniture where well maintained and comfortable. We where provided by a water bottle, pencil and eraser by the center. At intervals between the exam you could ask examiner to sharpen your pencil, just in case you forgot to get sharpener (only transparent sharpeners are allowed). For listening exam, head sets were in perfect condition. Instructions given by the examiner where loud and clear.
Overall, I had a great experience giving my exam at AOU. There is no need to get stressed out before exam, if this is your test center.

I had a course and the hall facilities were excellent

Good for those who missed the university education train like me (25 years). Oh God, some administrators treat them badly, but the majority are cooperative and have good things.
