The Firm’s lead partner and widely recognized expert in energy practice, Mr. Roderico V. Puno, was involved in the drafting and implementation of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act and its implementing rules and regulations. The Firm further strengthened its already dominant energy practice with the addition of senior partner, Mr. Jose M. Layug, Jr., who was Undersecretary of the Department of Energy from 2010 to 2012. Mr. Layug was the Chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board.
