PentaLock is a new form of bicycle lock, if broken up, the bicycle's driving characteristics are destroyed and the bicycle becomes worthless for the bike ride. At Pentalock they love bicycles and believe everyone is entitled to a nice bike, regardless of price – without fearing bike theft. Therefore, they develop a new kind of locking mechanism which makes the bike worthless to thieves. When the lock is broken, the bicycle becomes useless as it means they have to break the bike and its driving qualities. This removes the motive to steal the bike in the first place.
