I stayed at Douro Royal Valley Hotel & Spa for a weekend getaway with my partner. The overall experience was average. The room was clean and comfortable, but the service was lacking. The staff seemed disinterested and not attentive to guests' needs. The spa facilities were nice, but the treatments were overpriced for the quality. The location of the hotel was beautiful, overlooking the Douro River. However, I expected more from a 5-star establishment. If you're looking for a decent place to stay in the Douro Valley, this hotel is an alright option.
